You and a guest could be on your way to the Bob Carr on September 20th for the opening night to see the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra!
The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra’s exciting 2014-15 season opener is led by Mexican-born Alondra de la Parra, one of the fastest rising young conductors of our time. The “Paris” Symphony captures the genius of a 22-year-old Mozart searching for work, and parallels the young Mahler’s first symphony, in which he discovers his own musical voice. Between, comes an energetic and spicy danzón by Mexican composer Arturo Márquez. Maestro De la Parra is one of five international finalists in the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra’s international music director search.
Program:
MOZART Symphony No. 31 “Paris”
MÁRQUEZ Danzón No. 2
MAHLER Symphony No. 1 “Titan
